Courtney Sanders and myself collaborated with Lonely (then called Lonely Hearts) to create a series called Freedom. Freedom, which was loosely based on Jonathan Franzens book, Freedom, grew into a 12 month project road tripping around the North Island of New Zealand.
Freedom essentially explores the idea of living life simply. Exploring the wonderment of everything around us. We worked with Kitty Riddell and Lili Sumner who were both relatively unknown at this stage.
For me personally, it was autobiographical. A reminder of my younger self before life with family, mortgages and responsibilities.
